The Art of High Tea

rosewood-london-banksy-tea-cr-courtesyA recent feature in CNTraveler brought back memories of high tea at The Tea Room at Harrods in London. I have never experienced anything as exquisite as the pastries served on that silver tea cart. UNLIMITED pastries, I might add. Ah, those were the days. Anyway, flash forward to 2017 and an architectural inspired array of sweets being offered this month at The Rosewood. Don’t know if they can hold a candle to the gourmet treats crafted by the pastry chefs of 1982 but they certainly look like fun to try. To compliment the artistic sweets, the Art Afternoon Tea offers a large variety of loose leaf options (over 15 choices of white, green, yellow, black, herbal and pu-erh). No word on the blending house … let’s hope they have opted not to use a coffee distributor.   Photo courtesy of CNTraveler 2017.
