Take a trip to Morocco courtesy of Mint Tea in Vancouver, WA. The decor, menu and music transport you to the kasbah in a matter of minutes. And if you want to experience tea Moroccan style, owner Jenna Eckhart is just the gal to see. You can even purchase traditional tea canisters. “They come in a set of three,” she explained during my recent visit. “One holds the mint leaves, one is for the Gunpowder Green tea and the small one stores the sugar.” Jenna offers plenty of other loose leaf teas as well (mostly from Strand Tea in OR) to compliment their menu. Portions are generous (I had a delicious quiona & beet “half salad” that could easily have fed two) with ingredients on the healthy side. Both floors of this restored brick house on Main Street offer colorful seating choices – or dine outdoors under umbrellas. It’s a perfect place for gathering, sipping and even shopping … all with a touch of exotic whimsy. Enjoy!
