I love trains almost as much as tea so when Tea Chai Te opened their 2nd location in this historic red caboose – I thought it was a perfect blend. You’ll find lots of cozy places to sip and savor at this Sellwood spot. Climb up to the lookout cupola, curl up on a vintage sofa or stroll out to the garden fountain area. Enjoy the same selection of loose leaf teas (over 100 varieties) as in their NW 23rd shop along with pastries from local bakers. Try my personal summer favorite, award winning Coconut Pouchong – mellower than green but milder than oolong. I love it iced. Or take a trip to distant shores with their new and exotic Sticky Rice Puer. Tea bud, Diane, is a huge fan of their Ancient Puer and always gets some for home brewing. All aboard!
